A week-long home repair mission is coming to Lexington County in the summer of 2021.

Cherokee Presbyterian Church is co-sponsoring this event with Group Mission Trips.  Group Mission Trips, is a non-profit volunteer service organization headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado.  Group Mission partners with communities worldwide to co-sponsor hundreds of volunteer home repair and community service workcamps.

Workcamps are comprised of approximately 400 teenagers and their leaders from different Christian denominations. Volunteers will travel from all over America to work in Lexington County. In a week, they will repair 50 to 70 homes for elderly, low-income, disabled, and veteran residents. The estimated economic impact for Lexington County is $300,000.

Residents apply for home repair assistance, and we will accept approximately 70 applications.  Repairs are completed at no cost to homeowners.  Funds are needed for materials.  Group Mission Trips provides funding that is combined with our local sponsors to pay for the building materials – 100% stays in our community.  We are asking you to partner with Cherokee Presbyterian Church to bring positive change to Lexington County such as:

Improving living conditions for our neighbors in need.

Bringing our community together.

Impacting our local economy.

Sharing compassion and hope.

Inspiring people with the values of community engagement and service.

If you would like to make a difference in Lexington County, we encourage you to partner with us.  Donations are tax-deductible, and you will receive publicity in a variety of formats.  Thank you for your consideration.
